First, follow your logic: 正因为你有了拥有 driving 的自由，别人就有了 car，就可以 having accident。他不会因为你 are good driver，他就不去 drive。如果大家的没有car（bus and train 当然除外），会安全得多！ You still don't see?

Now come to the reality: Even if you can ban all gun, only law biding citizens will follow the law and lose all guns. Criminals will get guns. Do you know how easy it is to make a gun? Criminals won't stop killing because you don't have a gun. Quite opposite, criminals will think twice if he is not sure if the victim has the right to own guns.

Your problems is you only see the negative side of gun ownership and refuse to acknowledge guns save people's lives too.
